Stars Appeal message from Nick

Nick Holmes preparing for last year's Wilton Cycle Ride. DB2107P4

I am taking part in the Rotary Club of Wilton Cycle Ride on May 18th to raise money for the Salisbury District Hospital Stars Appeal's new Caring 4 Kids Campaign.

I am proud to be a patron of the Stars Appeal which has already achieved a great deal in complimenting the life-saving work of our local hospital in Salisbury.

Our new Caring 4 Kids campaign aims to help fund a highly advanced new Children's Centre at Salisbury District Hospital.

The centre will benefit thousands of children from across Wiltshire, Dorset and Hampshire.

More than 6,000 children come through Salisbury District Hospital every year.

They are treated for serious illnesses including cancer, cystic fibrosis and meningitis.

They also receive care in emergencies and for other childhood conditions. Everything from broken bones to having their tonsils out.

At the moment, children's services are housed in outdated wartime buildings.

In 2010, through your support, we hope to have turned existing buildings into a state-of-the-art unit offering the most advanced children's facilities and medical expertise under one roof.

Please do take a minute to visit the Stars Appeal website and read some of the inspiring stories of the local children that your donation will help.

Donating through the site is simple, fast and totally secure.

The most efficient way to sponsor me is through my Just Giving page: Salisbury District Hospital Stars Appeal will receive your money faster and, if you are a taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.

So please sponsor me now!

Many thanks for your support.
