Good Friday processions
CHRISTIANS in Salisbury and district followed the way of the Cross as they joined worshippers in virtually every city, town and village in the country in holding Good Friday services and processions to reflect on Christ's crucifixion.
Three crosses were carried through Salisbury itself in a procession organised by Salisbury Church Together, a group which represents the various church communities in the city.
The procession stopped for a service in the Market Square and then made its way to the Cathedral.
Another procession of witness was held by Churches Together at Downton, with people following the Cross to the village's St Lawrence's Church.
And other Good Friday activities included a re-enactment at Tisbury of events leading up the crucifixion.
