Teeth knocked out in fight

A 21-YEAR-OLD man has been left facing a £2,000 dental bill after having all his front teeth knocked out during a Christmas Day brawl in Salisbury.

The man, who has not been named, was a visitor to the city and was waiting with friends at the taxi rank in New Canal at about five minute past midnight when the incident occurred.

An argument broke out among a group of about ten local youths and it finished up in a fight, during which the visitor was assaulted. Police, who have just released details, say they have interviewed a 20-year-old Salisbury man in connection with the brawl and they have two conflicting versions of events.

They are now appealing for witnessed to the fight. A spokesman said: "Anyone who was in this part of the city on Christmas Eve, going into Christmas Day, may well have seen this incident.

"And we would appeal to them to contact PC Simon Davies on 0845 408 7000 as soon as possible."
